Once you sign up we send you the Evolve Artist box, with the canvas, brushes, paint and reference packets for the whole block. The program is built in blocks, and each one develops your skills in a set order, so you are never working on more than one difficult thing at once. Everything else happens in the online portal, where you submit your paintings and join a weekly video call with our instructors, who give you feedback and coaching on the work you have actually made.
Every block ships with all materials — professional Old Holland paint, brushes, canvas, palette paper and photographic reference — plus access to the instructional videos, feedback on every homework assignment, and our private community. Shipping is included.
Written feedback is given multiple times a day, 365 days a year. Submit your homework in the portal and an instructor reviews the actual painting you made — you're never left guessing whether you got it right.
Every week you join a live video class with our instructors for feedback and coaching — live, or by recording if you can't attend — and block-specific study groups keep you painting alongside students at exactly your stage.
Stuck on an assignment? Work through it with an instructor directly, one on one, until it clicks.

The same student, before Evolve and after. No previous art experience — just the program.

No. There's no portfolio, no audition, no interview and no degree required. The program starts from the very beginning — most of our students had never held a brush.
Intro to Grayscale takes about seven weeks: one week for your box to arrive, then six weekly assignments. The full program is self-paced — how fast you move through the blocks depends on the hours you put in each week.
Immediately. As soon as your order is placed you can access your first videos, and your materials ship within 24 hours, Monday to Friday.
Almost nothing. Every block includes the paint, brushes, canvas and reference materials. For Intro to Grayscale you supply only an easel, painter's tape, and a bar of Ivory soap for cleaning brushes.
Two ways: written feedback on every homework submission, given multiple times a day, 365 days a year — and a weekly live class with our instructors, delivered live or by recording if you can't attend.
Yes. Complete and submit all of the Block 1 exercises, and if you're unable to achieve the results presented, you may qualify for a refund.
Yes — shipping is included with every block. We currently ship to the USA and Canada.
A four-year art university typically costs around $200,000. The complete Evolve program costs about 1% of that, and teaches the same foundations: value, edge, and color.
